Membership in the Band

We have no auditions. We invite you to come to rehearsal, and try us out.
The Community Band is an excellent opportunity to enjoy playing a wide variety of concert band music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere while maintaining a high expectation for quality performance.

Who can join?
From advanced beginners to professional musicians, from high school students to senior citizens who enjoy playing music in a relaxed, friendly, supportive environment.

What do I need?
You need to supply your own instrument and music stand. The band will provide music and a folder.

What is my commitment?
Attend regular band rehearsals on Monday nights and perform at our various concerts throughout the season.

What is the cost?
There are no membership fees or dues. Members are encouraged to sell tickets for our concerts. All proceeds from tickets sold by band members go to help support the band.

Where and when are rehearsals?
We rehearse at the Burton Ave. Recreation Center in Rohnert Park on Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
Our season starts on the first Monday after Labor Day and ends with the July 4th "Concert In The Park"

What do I wear for concerts?
The dress varies from casual to formal dress for our concerts. Standard black and white is the custom for our formal concerts with men wearing dark slacks, a white shirt and a dark long tie. Women wear a dark skirt/pants with a white top or all black.
