Gary Young
Gary studied Music at Skyline Junior College where he earned his Associate in Arts degree in 1975 and Music Education and Industrial Arts at San Francisco State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980. Since moving to Rohnert Park in 1989, Gary keeps active co-owning and playing saxophone in The Moonlighters Swing Era Big Band, co-directing the Healdsburg Community Band and singing in his church choir, in addition to his “real job” as a cabinetmaker and handyman.
He is cheerful, warm and welcoming to all members, and the members of the band are very grateful for all the effort and enthusiasm that he puts into our organization.
